Shared Tracking

Shared Tracking is a location sharing application, offering two kinds of service: 1.
You can use it as an organizer, in order to share your location in real time with followers.
2.
You can use it as a follower, in order to track dynamically an organizer’s location.
If you want to be an organizer, you first need to set up a tracking session, identified by a token.
Once the session is created you can invite all the people you want to share your location with in sending them the session token.
The way this token is shared is outside Shared Tracking scope: since it is a short character sequence, the idea is to rely on external messaging applications (e.g SMS, WhatsApp) or social networks (e.g Facebook) to share it.

If you want to be a follower, you first need to be provided with a session token created by an organizer.
Then you can join the associated tracking session and access to organizer’s location in real-time.
You can also spread the sharing in sending the token to users that might be interested to follow organizer’s location.
SIMPLICITY AND FLEXIBILITY
Whether you are organizer or follower, no user registration is required.
Multiple tracking sessions can be set up simultaneously.
Several organizers can be tracked within the same tracking session and session parameters can be modified and updated after creation.
PRIVACY :
Organizer's location can only be tracked by users holding the token it has shared.
No personal user information is uploaded except device current location.
All the communications with remote servers are secure and session data are erased once it is completed.

DATA AND BATTERY CONSUMPTION:
The application has been built in order to minimize network exchanges and GPS accesses, and then reduces as more as possible data and battery consumption.
